The 2023 Aloxe-Corton Les Valozières 1er Cru comes from a parcel on clayey soils in a small dip in the land. Brambly red fruit mixed with damp loam defines the nose with fine Pinoté . The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and moderate depth, offering a crisp line of acidity and a sorbet-fresh finish that has a skip in its step. Lovely.
