The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Thorey 1er Cru offers dark berry fruit mixed with hints of Earl Grey on the nose, nicely defined and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and fine acidity, a little grainy in texture, with the stems (50%) neatly assimilated on the finish. This is an understated NSG, but it has pedigree.
