Superstony with terrific brilliance and focus. There’s an incredibly exciting interaction between creamy leesiness, mineral acidity and aromas of roasted hazelnuts and Amalfi lemons and limes. The very long finish has a great chalky, flinty drive. Limited production from a 0.3 hectare parcel. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

The 2023 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières is terrific, mingling aromas of crisp stone fruit, citrus and pear with notes of white flower and struck match in a classic bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, layered and chalky, it's racy and penetrating, concluding with a mineral finish.
The 2023 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has a slight menthol scent on the nose. Perhaps the warmth just affected the grapes a little more in this vineyard compared to the Charmes? The palate is well balanced with a silver bead of acidity. I am seeking a bit more mineralité and terroir expression here. This is undeniably a competent Meursault, but it needs to muster more personality.
Once again, the complete wine, much more density even than the Charmes, with some of the detail of Genevrières. Grand Vin, from the first sniff and sip through to a majestic finish, pure white fruit, pears and ripe apples, ideal acidity.
