Note di degustazione
(from deep, clay-rich soil at the bottom of the slope) Pale color. Soft citrus and hazelnut aromas. Round and ripe, with soft citrus and floral flavors. A bit diffuse today but reasonably fresh for the vintage, with sound, ripe acids.

The 2003 Meursault Meix Chavaux (white), offers aromas of almonds, pears, and minerals. Suave, satin-textured, and light to medium-bodied, it displays excellent depth in its buttered nut and candied lemon-flavored personality. It should be enjoyed over the next 4-5 years. Ripe pineappley nose; a bit more exotic than the Tillets. Then rich and sweet in the mouth, with flavors of lemon curd and minerals. Finishes quite dry and subtle, with notes of lemon, pineapple, grapefruit and stone. A second taste from a demi-muid showed a more pronounced spice character. This cuvee has the highest acidity of any of Roulot's 2003s.
