A medium ruby red color, the nose of the 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo is a bit shy on opening before coming into focus with notes of macerated strawberries, dried earth, roses, and herbes de Provence. The palate comes to life and has vibrant energy, with white pepper spice and a lot of fresh acidity. Medium-bodied, it retains surprising energy and tension, with good structure. Drink it over the coming 6-7 years.

Fruit for this wine comes from Castiglione Falletto (the parts outside of Monprivato). Starting in 2024, some fruit will be added from Perno. The Giuseppe Mascarello 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo is a fresh and bright wine with a good array of cassis and berry fruit aromas. There is some dried flower and earth over a punchy and lean mouthfeel.
