The 2019 Beaune Bressandes 1er Cru has an elegant bouquet with wild strawberry, rose petal and undergrowth, later touches of blood orange lend more complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite grippy and a little static towards the finish. I appreciate the fruit profile here, it is full of pleasing red berry fruit, but what it needs is more terroir expression and detail on the finish.
