Note di degustazione
The 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has an awkward nose of candied orange peel, some adhesive scents and a touch of licorice. It feels all over the place. The palate is a bit stripped, lacking the depth and grip you demand from this wine. I am unsure how representative this bottle is. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Notes of citrus pith, pastry cream, blanched almond and peach introduce the 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, a full-bodied, satiny and enveloping wine that's concentrated and penetrating, concluding with chalky grip. This was less put together than the reds when I tasted it, so I'm looking forward to revisiting it in bottle.
The 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru had been racked a month prior to my visit. Lovely on the nose, Clementine, honey and white flowers, this is very seductive. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, clean and pure with a touch of stem ginger and grilled almonds on the finish, this is very well crafted. Excellent.
