The 2022 Château Bellegrave is rock solid, with savory red and black fruits, some earth, herbal, and truffly notes, medium body, and a supple, nicely balanced style on the palate. The blend is 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc.

A nice smoky layer to the fresh blackcurrants, cedar and graphite. This shows the Pauillac structure and demureness with an appealing touch of dark, ashy fruit and a lead-pencil note. Full-bodied, the palate is packed with dusty, fine-grained tannins. Excellent length and verticality here. It will become even more resolved and long. Try from 2026.
Black currants, savory herbs, cedar, and tobacco form the nose. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, chewy, crunchy, and crisp, with a strong, savory, and peppery edge. This is quite classic, old-school in style, that some tasters will like more than others. Drink from 2026-2042.
Notes of cassis, spices and graphite. Medium- to full-bodied. Firm and linear with compact structure and a dense, velvety finish.
