This is a versatile, food-friendly wine to pair with your favorite Italian pasta dishes. The Fattoria le Pupille 2023 Morellino di Scansano is made with Sangiovese that has been given greater lift thanks to small percentages of Alicante and Ciliegiolo in the blend. The bouquet offers wild cherry, lilac, violet and dusty mineral notes. There is also a touch of yellow sulfur stone that often features in wines from this area of the Tuscan Coast. This is a lean-bodied red with plenty of good tension and energy. You can't beat this low price.

The 2023 Morellino di Scansano is redolent of crushed red berry fruit, spice, mint, anise and orange peel. Medium in body and quite aromatic in this vintage, the Morellino is a fine choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years.
