An organic blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Colorino, the Il Molino di Grace 2020 Gratius opens to thick layers of ripe fruit and black cherry. Those pronounced fruit flavors are mixed with earth, crushed autumnal leaf and light spice. Overall, the wine is open-knit and accessible with a slightly oxidative approach that suggests a near or medium-term drinking window. Production is 4,000 bottles.

The 2020 Gratius is a Sangiovese/Colorino/Canaiolo blend from the oldest and highest-elevation vineyard on the property. Lifted floral notes and vibrant red-toned fruit show an element of exoticism that is quite attractive. There's a bit of new oak, but it works well here. This was aged in a combination of barrique and tonneau.
