2021 Volnay Clos des Chenes

The 2021 Volnay Clos des Chênes 1er Cru has a classy bouquet with redcurrant, cranberry and light raspberry scents, pure and focused, though not as intense as previous vintages like you would expect. The palate is clean and precise, slightly creamy in texture on the entry, not plush but with a silky smooth, peppery finish that tingles after the wine has exited. Very fine.
