Note di degustazione
The 2021 Corton Les Renardes Grand Cru has a refined bouquet with a little more elegance than its peers and bright red fruit laced with rose petal. The palate is well balanced with pliant tannins and a keen thread of acidity. There remains a patina of oak to be subsumed but it has a little swagger on the stylish finish. It needs a year or two in bottle but should drink well for the next decade. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Corton Les Renardes Grand Cru, frosted so that there are just five barrels from 0.75 hectares, has an expressive bouquet with a little more fruit expression than the Maréchaudes. The nose presents red plum and Morello cherries and is quite minerally overall. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and fine delineation. This wine is taut and fresh, though it just doesn't fully deliver the complexity on the finish. Nevertheless, this is a very likeable Corton.
The 2021 Corton Les Renardes Grand Cru bursts with aromas of exotic spices, red berries, plums, rose petals and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's seamless and vibrant, with beautifully refined tannins and an expansive finish.
