2017 Castello del Terriccio

A blend of Syrah and Petit Verdot, the 2017 Castello del Terriccio is a rich and voluptuous wine that has been tinged by a very hot vintage. The intensity is taken up a notch, including the alcohol content that clocks in at 15%. The winemaking team and the winery's historic consultant Carlo Ferrini has had plenty of experience dealing with these conditions. The grapes are fermented separately with pump-overs. Malolactic fermentation continues in barrique and tonneaux. This full-bodied wine offers blackberry essence and sweet plum with spice and cured spice.
