Note di degustazione
The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune La Dominode 1er Cru offers darker fruit than the Clos des Guettes, featuring brambly blackberry, briar and touches of wild heather. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin and notes of blackberry and raspberry. Slightly flinty toward the finish, but it should develop more length during the remainder of its élevage . Promising.

The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode (Domaine Louis Jadot) displays appealing aromas of smoky cherries, grilled meats and warm spices, followed by a medium-bodied, structured palate that was a little firm and austere when I tasted it. Given this cuvée's track record, I suspect it will flesh out appreciably by the time it's bottled.
Cask sample. Very bright garnet. Some rather heady sweet oak on the nose at this point. Great whack of forward, seductive, almost toasty fruit on the front palate and then tightens up to fine tannins and quite a bit of acidity on the end. (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
