2021 Chablis Vaudesir

The 2021 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru is aged in 80% new barrels and the remainder in stainless steel. It has a reduced nose that needs to shake off the shackles of the SO2. The palate is primal on the entry with, again, quite a lot of reduction. There is admirable weight, but the reduction renders this rather generic on the finish. It could be a Chardonnay from anywhere.
