2011 Beaune Champs Pimont

Bright dark red. Aromas of raspberry, spices and crushed stone. Sweeter than the Greves, with fruit-dominated redcurrant and raspberry flavors nicely framed by ripe acidity. Not hugely filled in yet but finishes with good breadth, with the tongue-dusting tannins arriving late. I tasted this wine at the end of its malolactic fermentation.
