Tank sample. Mid cherry red. Even more scented than the Volnay VV – lovely cherry fruit and just a hint of sweet spice. So pure and so fragrant. A little more obvious oak on the palate but the fruit can take it. Rounded, refined tannins and excellent freshness for a wine so full of fruit. The tannins build to a firm finish but they are polished. (JH)
