All destemmed. Pale garnet. Very direct, early-appeal fruit on the nose. Almost rude sweetness and ripeness. Easy to like but not one of the purest expressions of Volnay. Slightly short of juice on the end. (JR)

The 2017 Volnay Village offers pleasant brambly red fruit mixed with rose petals on the nose. The palate is fresh on the entry, but I find the tasting a little coarse, especially toward the finish.
