Vivid magenta. A highly perfumed, mineral-accented bouquet evokes ripe cherry, red fruit liqueur and licorice, along with a suave floral overtone. Chewy and expansive on the palate, offering concentrated raspberry, bitter cherry and violet pastille flavors that are honed by a smoky mineral quality. The impressively long, sweet finish is shaped by youthful, firm tannins. Zesty allspice and floral notes linger behind.

The 2015 Priorat Les Terrasses checks in as 60% Garnacha and 40% Cariñena that spent ten months in barrels. It has a beautiful, elegant, seamless style as well as lovely notes of black raspberries, spice box, dried earth, and obvious minerality. Silky, medium-bodied, and already drinking great, it should keep for 7-8 years.
The reliable 2015 Les Terrasses Velles Vinyes is the wine with a higher Cariñena content from the portfolio; it's 55% Garnacha, 45% Cariñena and perhaps 1% white grapes sourced from the nine villages of Priorat. The destemmed and crushed grapes fermented in oak and concrete vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in barriques for ten months. I've always liked the elegant rusticity of Les Terrasses, which in the last few years has become more ethereal. This seems to be a lighter vintage, very pure, aromatic, even floral, intense and long. This seems to be a more elegant version of Terrasses, long and silky. 136,000 bottles produced.
