Note di degustazione
(Gublin vinified this red Meursault with 100% whole clusters, as she feels that the stem component adds necessary freshness to this wine from silty, sandy soil): Good medium-deep red. Dark berries, violet and spices on the nose. Juicy and fine-grained but a bit medicinal in a fresh way. Not yet expansive but showing no hard edges. Very pure and youthfully primary for a 2015, finishing with substantial dusty tannins that coat the front teeth.

(part done in old foudres , 15% in new oak): Pale, bright yellow. Lively lemon zest aroma. Supple in texture, with a touch of sweetness to its citrussy flavor. Nicely round and easygoing wine with a hint of finishing saltiness. This flavorful wine could be enjoyed now.
(100% vendange entier ): Healthy dark red. Still a trace of malic acidity blocking the nose but clearly very ripe. Broad, sweet and silky on the palate, with a raspberry flavor accented by a touch of herbs (the stems contribute elegance, notes Gublin). Offers lovely fruit and suave tannins, with nothing hard about it. Made from deep alluvial soil in the bottom of the clos .
The 2015 Meursault Clos de Mazeray is 50% fermented in large foudres. It has a clean and crisp, fresh pear and watermelon-scented bouquet with moderate intensity. The palate is balanced with pear, kiwi fruit and dried mango notes, balanced with good weight, leading to a waxy finish. Not quite up to the 2014, but that was expected. Drink over the next 3-4 years.
