Note di degustazione
The 2019 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru has a little more concentration on the nose than de Montille's Grèves and is slightly more candied in style, though it retains ample delineation and focus and develops an attractive dried rose petal aspect. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, a slightly chalky texture, fine tension and a lovely spicy finish. Whilst made in a more muscular style, this is still a well-crafted Beaune packed with flavor. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The deepest and most textured of Rapet's Beaune premiers crus is the 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves, a medium to full-bodied, layered and nicely concentrated wine evocative of cherries, dark berries, plums and smoky soil tones. As is generally the case, this will reward a bit of bottle age.
