Revisited from bottle, the 2017 Aloxe-Corton 1er Les Vercots is showing well, unfurling in the glass with notes of cassis and red berries mingled with sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, muscular and succulent, this has rounded out nicely with élevage and displays fine persistence on the finish.

The 2017 Aloxe-Corton Les Vercots 1er Cru has a clean and precise, quite floral bouquet with hints of iris petal developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain, saturated tannin, a lovely fruit profile of boysenberry and cranberry with a gentle grip on the finish. This comes highly recommended.
