Note di degustazione
A dark, brooding wine, the 2010 Richebourg steps up the intensity in this flight. Dark cherry, plum, smoke and menthol are some of the many notes that fill out the wine's ample frame. Super-concentrated in the glass, with a huge center of fruit, the 2010 is going to need at least a few years before it is anywhere near being ready to drink. I would advise waiting as long as possible, to be perfectly honest.

Much more restrained and youthful than the Romanée-St-Vivant 2010. The reticent nose is reminiscent of liquorice. Racy, taffeta texture. Tense and still relatively tannic. Wait for this to evolve and emerge. (JR)
Notes of smoked duck, rich black fruits and Asian spices introduce the 2010 Richebourg Grand Cru, an ample, full-bodied wine with a gourmand core of fruit that largely conceals its satiny tannins, underpinned by tangy balancing acids. The finish is long and sapid. The Richebourg is more dramatic and expansive than the Romanée-Saint-Vivant, but it isn't quite as focused and elegant.
Leroy's 2010 Richebourg towers from the glass with massive fruit and structure. At the same time, it possesses a level of richness and pure refinement that is rare among Richebourgs. Today, the 2010 is incredibly primary and shut down. Most of the Leroy's 2010s are immensely appealing today, even though they are very young, but the Richebourg is a wine that needs time, and likely lots of it. This has really shut down in bottle, but it should be magnificent in another 10-15 years.
