Note di degustazione
Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Meursault 1er Cru les Genevrières has a terse, stony and stoic nose that demands encouragement. Almost Chablis-like but very well focused. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry, but it needed the weight to back up this reserved linear style. Still, you can sit back and admire the saline finish that feels long in the mouth.

Creamy, generous nose with a contrasting tightness on the palate. Tense and taut. Crisp finish, and good length – but not hugely concentrated. (RH)
Convincing nose with some flora and quite rich and appetising on the palate. Definitely riper than the Limozin. This should not disappoint, though it is not a superstar. (JR)
