Very developed, in a way that has compromised the freshness on the nose. Yet the palate is still fresh, perhaps remarkably so, and there is incredible length and persistence. Finishes with a long and candied finish, with more than a touch of botrytis, it seems to me. Very waxy, no disguising the origin! (RH)

Lemon, lime, fresh citrus, grapefruit, green apple and vanilla scents lead to a bright, round, open, citrus and grapefruit packed finish. The style of this wine is going to please some tasters more than others.
The 2007 Ygrec has a light, fragrant nose with apple-blossom, pink grapefruit, citrus lemon and just a touch of cold granite. Good definition. The palate is bright and lively, a lot of energy packed into this Ygrec, with citrus lemon, green apple, a touch of lemongrass, very harmonious and smooth towards the finish that display superb persistency, a hint of fiery lemongrass lingering in the mouth. Drink now-2020.

Indiscusso miglior vino dolce al mondo, Château d'Yquem è l'unica tenuta Premier Cru Supérieur di Sauternes, classificata nel 1855. Con una lunga storia che risale al Medioevo, lo château è strettamente legato a quella della famiglia Lur-Saluces, che ne è coinvolta ancora oggi.
