Note di degustazione
The 2012 Meursault Villages has vibrant bouquet with fresh green apples, grass clippings and limestone. The palate is crisp and focused on the marine-influenced entry, very well balanced with clinically executed acidity and a dash of white pepper on the finish. What more do you want from a Meursault Villages? Not a lot.

(2011 was the first vintage for this cuvee, which is a blend of three parcels): Bright pale yellow. Sexy, vibrant aromas of lemon, lime, mint and white flowers. Silky and supple in the mouth, with ripe acidity giving shape to the flavors of pineapple and grapefruit. An attractive, persistent village wine with the balance to give pleasure in its youth.
2011 was the first time they have made a village wine – from several plots including Clos des Baronnes (bought with Lafon). Lots of small, millerandé grapes. Juice was low so he needed to be very clever at the press. Lots of dry extract. Some richness underneath a finely chiselled nose. Very satisfying though the finish is a tad dry. Not as elegant as the 2011s. (JR)
