1995 Doisy Vedrines

Tasted at the Doisy-Védrines vertical at the château, the 1995 Château Doisy-Védrines has a moderate, clear gold colour. The nose is a little simplistic with barley sugar, clementine and tangerine, though it comes across as a little sulfury. The palate is, again, quite powerful and concentrated, although it lacks a little finesse and elegance. There are notes of orange, honey and quince (especially toward the insistent finish), although it does come across as being too eager to impress. This is a big mouthful of Barsac!
