Note di degustazione
The 2012 Fonbadet is a solid Cru Bourgeois to drink now and over the next few years. Ferrous, savory notes open into a core of red stone fruits, licorice and chalk. The 2012 is a bit rustic, but also pleasing in its own way.

From one of the few cru bourgeois in Pauillac, this 2012 is a straightforward, somewhat superficial style of wine made from a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot and Malbec. The wine is soft, easygoing, palatable and pleasant, but lacks depth and nobility. Nonetheless, it is easy to drink and probably best consumed over the next 10 years.
Fennel and herbal character, dry and chewy. Layered tannins – but this is Pauillac after all, and the fruit intensity supports the structure. Worth ageing to fulfil its potential. (RH)
