The 2020 Corton-Grèves Grand Cru offers dark, plummy fruit, cola and light marmalade scents. There's moderate complexity, maybe just missing a little personality. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and graphite-infused red fruit. It is quite strict and linear, but I appreciate the tension in this Corton, and it lingers on the finish. Fine, though there is some dryness as it opens in the glass. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2020 Corton Grand Cru Les Grèves is more giving than the Vigne au Saint at this early stage, delivering aromas of plums, cherries, raw cocoa and sweet spices, followed by a full-bodied, velvety and seamless palate that's rich, concentrated and vibrant. This, too, has exceptional potential.
The 2020 Corton Grand Cru Greves has a more reserved and slightly earthier bouquet than the La Vigne Au Saint, fresh and vibrant, taut and fresh. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, fine acidity, good weight with a nicely proportioned finish that has impressive persistence. Lots of potential here.
