The 2021 Chablis Village was picked on September 25 and bottled in April. It has a winsome, perfumed nose that has shaken off the reduction that I discerned last year. The palate is well-balanced with good weight, with a twist of bitter lemon infusing with the wet stone element towards the finish. Fresh and sapid, enjoy this over the next 5-6 years.

Notes of citrus oil, oyster shell and white flowers, mingled with a touch of vintage-typical exotica, introduce Raveneau's 2021 Chablis Village, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy wine with good mid-palate volume and a saline, aromatic finish.
From two parcels of vines, totalling 1.1 ha and 20-year-old vines. One towards Montée de Tonnerre, the other towards Fôret. Cask sample. Pale lemon. Clear and bright. Apple, lemon and pear. Crystalline acidity. Dry, savoury. (MH)
