The 2022 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard is showing nicely, unwinding in the glass with a gently reductive bouquet of pear, white flowers, hazelnuts and wet stones. Medium-bodied, pure and satiny, it's seamless and youthfully understated, with a bright core of fruit and a long, saline finish.

The 2022 Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard 1er Cru has a strict, focused, flinty bouquet with touches of sea cave and orange blossom. It is very discrete. The palate is stony, quite malic and taut on the entry, with hints of Granny Smith and pear leading to a lightly spiced, persistent finish. This is classy and distinct.
