Note di degustazione
The 1989 Clos de Tart Grand Cru is one of the surprises of the tasting. I am not a huge fan of the vintage in Burgundy, so in my eyes, the 1989 overperforms. It has a very respectable bouquet, probably better than a lot of run-of-the-mill ‘89s from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Yes, there is a touch of herbaceousness (though not to the same extent as the 1988), pressed rose petals and iris. The palate is medium-bodied with fine weight in the mouth, tapering in a little toward the finish when you want it to fan out. It just runs out of ideas two-thirds of the way through. Still, it represents an enjoyable Clos de Tart that is drinking perfectly now. Tasted at the Clos de Tart vertical at Ten Trinity in London.
