The second wine of Pichon-Baron, the 1988 Les Tourelles-de-Longueville is surprisingly soft for the vintage, with rich, round, fat flavors suggestive of oak, cassis, herbs, and minerals. It is a delightful wine for drinking over the next 4-5 years.
