Pale yellow. Classic calcaire aromas of lime, lemon, white pepper and powdered stone. High-pitched and brisk in the mouth, with the crushed stone character carrying through. Lovely precision here.

The 2013 Saint Aubin 1er Cru Champlots has a more austere bouquet compared to Pierre-Yves's other premier crus: stony, touches of damp moss in an old churchyard. The palate is well balanced with sharp acidity on the entry: sour lemon, hints of apricot with quite an intense saline finish, this is a very well-crafted Saint Aubin that should repay time in the cellar. There's something enigmatic about this wine.
Very calcaire with quite a bit of reduction. Racy and transparent. Very elegant. Racy and stony with fabulous undertow. (JR)
Bright pale yellow. Good lift to the aromas of lemon zest, noble herbs and white pepper. Sweeter and suppler than the Banc; a bit riper and denser but still with a juicy quality thanks to its brisk peppery component. A bit more substantial and persistent on the finish.
