Note di degustazione
Light, minerally, lemony nose. A certain sweetness combines to make this chunky wine pretty appealing but it could not be accused of an excess of finesse. (JR)

The 2016 Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru is more steely and reserved, offering up notes of crisp green apple, melon oil, chamomile and light reduction. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, chalky and tensile with nice concentration and a tangier, more acid-driven profile. This is built to reward bottle age.
(these vines avoided the frost and produced 50 hectoliters per hectare): Bright, light yellow. Tight, pure aromas of white fruits, white flowers and minerals. A step up in texture from the Meursault Les Chevalières, this wine also shows a more classic balance and greater purity than the basic village example. This attractive juicy, savory Meursault finishes firm but not hard, with the acid balance and chewiness to support mid-term aging. I may be underrating this wine today.
Organic. Bottled. Seductively creamy aroma. Rich, mealy and spicy and shot through with wonderful freshness. Power and freshness and all very primary but already sophisticated. (JH)
