2022 Morellino di Scansano

Made in stainless steel only, the Fattoria le Pupille 2022 Morellino di Scansano is composed of 90% Sangiovese with smaller percentages of Alicante and Ciliegiolo. Elisabetta Geppetti calls this wine "the business card of the estate," as it is an extremely popular drinking choice at local restaurants in this part of Tuscany. The bouquet reveals redcurrant, wild herb, rosemary and a spicy hint of pink peppercorn. The wine is very fresh and perhaps less extracted than previous vintages have been.
