Note di degustazione
The nose is sweet and perfumed with candied cherry and crystallised violets, charming and pretty. On the palate, however, this is all about its freshness and pure, bright red and blue fruit. It’s sleek in form, with supple tannins and juicy acidity that leaves your mouth watering. Aged in 15% new oak barrels, 20% concrete and the remainder in used barrels. Blend: 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc

The 2023 Blason de l'Evangile is open and giving, bursting with aromas of sweet cherries, plums, licorice and orange zest. Medium-bodied, fleshy and charming, it will drink well on release.
The second wine of this brilliant Pomerol estate, the 2023 Blason De L'Evangile is a terrific wine with a ripe, supple, incredibly charming style. Red and black fruits, leafy herbs, graphite, and leather all emerge from the nose, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with a round, supple mouthfeel and a good finish. Based on 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc and aged 16 months in one-year-old oak barrels with 20% in tank, drink this delicious, satisfying effort over the coming 10-15 years. Drink 2026-2040.
The 2023 Blason De L'Evangile is based on 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc that has 20% in tank and the rest in barrel, 15% new. Its deep purple hue is followed by terrific aromatics of red and black fruits, subtle tobacco and chocolate, and some classic Pomerol damp earth and spice. It's beautifully textured, medium-bodied, and elegant, with fine tannins.
