The 2021 Meursault Rougeots takes time to unfurl in the glass, but it's worth waiting: apple blossom, chai, and hints of beeswax emerge with time. Very fine delineation. The palate is very well-balanced with a keen thread of acidity. The mid-palate has good substance and grip, quite pithy towards the finish, with just a hint of spice on the aftertaste. Give this 4-5 years in bottle to see it at full flight.
More muscular than the Enseignères, the 2021 Meursault Les Rougeots unwinds in the glass with aromas of pear, white flowers, pastry cream, bread dough, nutmeg and hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a deep core of fruit framed by chalky extract and girdled by racy acids, it concludes with a long, saline finish.

Domaine Jean-François Coche-Dury is one of the most sought-after names in Burgundy, famed for producing some of the most expensive white wines in the world. The demand for these fiercely collected wines far outstrips supply.
