Punteggio 91-93/100 · Da bere 2025-2038, Neal Martin, Jan 2023

From ferrous soils at the bottom of the slope, the 2021 Corton Les Maréchaudes Grand Cru has a clean and pure bouquet with rose petal-infused red berry fruit and light incense aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, Morello cherries mixed with strawberry and hints of white pepper. Its harmonious finish has plenty of joie-de-vivre .

Punteggio 93/100 · Decanter

The elegant, ethereal strawberry and pomegranate aromas of Corton Marechaudes waft from the glass with notes of spice and lavender. The texture is fresh and surprisingly firm, yet there is nothing heavy about this Corton. The grapes come from a 0.28-hectare parcel of southeast-facing vines in Aloxe that was little affected by frost. This terroir, centered on a terrace at the foot of the slope, has produced a wine that is forward and accessible, which should drink well with just a bit of time in the cellar.
