2022 Volnay

The reds at Henri Boillot remain under-valued and this is an irresistible Volnay – one that leans in to the more delicate style versus some of the appellation’s more powerful Pommard-esque wines. Raspberry, chalk and delicate florals swirl together, creating a fine and intoxicating perfume. There’s a savoury edge to the wine, however, a smoky richness. Transparent, supple, scented and alluring. Aged in 50% new oak.
