Convincing palish ruby. Beautiful sweet nose of marasca cherry and hints of stones and spice. Almost voluptuous on the nose yet succulent and nervy on the palate. Great mouth-filling aromas combined with a medium-bodied elegant palate and silky chocolatey powdery tannins. Not at all what you would expect from a hot vintage and a delight to drink now and over the next 10 years or so. (WS)
