Mature mid ruby with bricky rim. Exciting, mature Nebbiolo nose with notes of forest floor and vanilla from the oak. Oak more evident on the palate, but Nebbiolo fruit holds up. Fine, ongoing tannins. Quite a steal for the quality and still has potential for further development. (WS)

Canale. Medium deep, developed ruby. Fruitcake and dried cherry, alcoholic but appealing. Very tight and youthful palate, with lots of tannin, giving a slightly bitter impression on the finish. Rustic but with good length. (WS)
