Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2021-2037, Jeb Dunnuck, Mar 2021

A rich, powerful white that stays vibrant and flawlessly balanced, the 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru from Vincent Girardin offers a rich, expansive bouquet of stone fruits, candied ginger, freshly baked bread, and white flowers. Showing more chalky minerality on the palate, it's medium to full-bodied and has a balanced, elegant texture, bright yet integrated acidity, and a great finish. This is another sensational 2018 from this house that delivers notable concentration and ripe fruit balanced by clean, vibrant, focusing acidity. It's beautifully done, and due to its depth of fruit and concentration, which lends more texture, it offers ample pleasure today yet should evolve for 15 years or more.

Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2023-2038, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2020

The 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has an attractive bouquet with lemon zest, light peppermint and orange pith notes that burst from the glass. The palate is well balanced with a waxy texture, modest weight with lemon curd, lemon thyme and Clementine towards the finish. Like Girardin’s other 2018s, what it just misses is tension and delineation, but it should give a decade’s drinking pleasure. - Neal Martin
