Note di degustazione
The Corton-Charlemagne exhibits aromas of anise, white flowers, and oak spices. This is a lovely, medium-to-full-bodied, and intense wine. It has superb richness, an expressive and powerful minerality, and a delightfully silky texture. While this wine ultimately deserves an excellent score, I was disappointed in its somewhat short finish. Drink it between 2000 and 2006. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; (212) 490-9300.

Good pale color. Ripe apple, pineapple, vanilla and char on the oily, rich nose. Thick, highly concentrated and oily in the mouth, with impressively delineated pineapple and mineral flavors currently dominating the wine oak component. Extremely long and pure, with a powerful stony character. The oak appears to be totally absorbed. A wine of great style and substance, one of the superstars of the vintage.

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
