Note di degustazione
The 2018 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has an exotic and quite honeyed bouquet with passion fruit and honeysuckle scents that rather obscure the terroir expression. The palate is balanced with a honeyed texture, slightly lower in acidity than its peers. It is more Meursault-Charmes in style than Perrières but certainly persistent on the finish. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting.

The 2018 Meursault Perrières 1er Cru comes from two parcels, 20% in Perrières-Dessus planted in 1955 and another part, 80% of the parcel, planted back in 1938. It has a very intense bouquet, like the Genevrières, featuring walnut, linseed oil and light white peach aromas. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. As Perrières should be, this is taut, linear and powerful, with hints of fresh grapefruit, tangerine and peach appearing toward the persistent finish. A superb Perrières, but does it possess the charm of the Genevrières?
