Note di degustazione
(still in barrel; totally destemmed): Good dark red. A touch of smoky oak to the aromas of red berries and earth. Silky and smooth in the mouth, with red fruit and spice flavors nicely framed by harmonious acidity. Turns a bit medicinal and dusty on the finish but shows good fruity persistence. A wine of modest flesh but plenty of personality. A moderate 30% of the crop here was lost to hail, according to Vincent.

The 2014 Pommard les Petits Noizons offers a neatly defined, cranberry and fresh strawberry-scented bouquet with a background scent of cold granite. The palate has a touch of spice on the entry to liven things up, but subsequently it tapers quite dramatically and it feels a little conservative, finishes a little abruptly. One hopes it gains some flesh and substance by the time of bottling.
