Note di degustazione
The 2017 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a riper, slightly more candied bouquet than its peers, though it does not quite articulate the same terroir expression. The palate is well balanced with supple tannins, fleshy and quite caressing, though it is missing some density and breeding toward the finish. A little outclassed in this peer-group flight. I would like to reevaluate this because it showed so much better in barrel. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

The 2017 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a tight-lipped bouquet, reticent at the moment, though it reluctantly opens with blackberry, bilberry and light graphite aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannin and a supremely well judged line of acidity that makes this Grand Cru feel so natural and refined. This is a rare case of a sensual Latricières in the making. Bon vin!
The 2017 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru is lovely, unfurling in the glass with aromas of sweet wild berries, grilled meats, peonies, dark chocolate and Indian spices. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, fine boned and tensile, with excellent concentration and depth at the sappy core, fine tannins and a bright line of animating acidity. The Latricières is second only to the Chambertin this year, and very different in personality.
