Dark crimson. This wine was still incredibly youthful and tightly wound. There was all the savoury concentration of this wine but the fruit was still hidden underneath a heavy charge of tannin. Perhaps it needed more aeration but I would wait and hope rather than drink it now. (JR)

Another difficult vintage, it rained until 8 Oct then they waited for 15 days of sun and wind. They risked having nothing. Very scented, bit chewy on the end. Quite dry but some lift. Not obviously of the vintage. Sweet and treacly. (JR)
