This pleasing wine with nice character and excellent drinkability shows attractive blackcurrants, berries and hints of chocolate on the nose and palate. Medium body, integrated and juicy. Drink now.

The 2021 La Fleur Peyrabon has a very fine bouquet of blackberry, bilberry and crushed iris that blossoms in the glass with fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, quite saline in the mouth with gentle grip toward the finish. No, not one of the better-known Pauillac wines, but this has plenty to offer in a more challenging vintage.
The 2021 La Fleur Peyrabon was tasted twice. The first felt out of sorts. The second was much better, offering graphite-infused black fruit, a good midpalate and a straightforward, licorice-tinged finish. This should drink well for 8–12 years.
A little diluted through the mid palate, but this has some juicy character to the blueberry and redcurrant fruits, harvest October 1 to 7. 4ha in Pauillac. Eric Boissenot consultant.
