Crushed flowers, spices, dried cherries, anise and wild flowers are some of the nuances that emerge from the estate's 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva. Like so many of the 2007 Riservas, there is a faded, slightly wilted quality here that is likely the result of too much time in oak, 35 months in this case. The excitement and visceral thrill of the best wines here is sadly missing.
